Belinda Kharsati, a resident of Pomahir village in Mawryngkneng block belongs to Progressive Farming Producer Group. This group of farmers produces tomatoes for their living. However, post the the pandemic hit, the group had faced financial challenges. In the words of Belinda Kharsati, she was facing issues and challenges due to pandemic as the demand for the tomatoes in the market came down, which depreciated the price of the produce. Not only this, with no market demand, she was not able to sell her produce that perished the produce. Today, Belinda is glad to be associated with FOCUS Program, as it has helped her to manage the plight of her co-producers. While receiving the funding under the FOCUS, she expressed her gratefulness to the government and said that she is going to make the best use of this fund and utilize it to enhance her production in the coming years.
