Ranikor located at South West Khasi Hills, locals from 14 villages came together and constructed a 140-meter long suspension bridge “Rainbow Bridge” in a short time span of six months. The villagers provided labor support, under MNREGA Program and material support for the construction. This kind of developmental initiative was possible due to collaborative approach of local state administration and community participation. State Capability Enhancement Project (SCEP) is working with an aim to mobilize local people in solving their problems and contribute in the state’s development process.
