An Outstanding work on Water Conservation at Lewduh Village

In the year 2017-18, a project was undertaken under MGNREGA Scheme for judicious use and proper management of the water resource, at Lewduh VEC, Pynursla C & RD Block, East Khasi Hills. Under this scheme, 5 public washing places, public toilet for men & women that can accommodate 20 persons , storage tank for rainwater conservation and a faucet was constructed to manage the water usage efficiently. Not only this, villagers took the initiative to plant trees in their locality so as to preserve mother nature and contribute in water conservation.
